LOVED BY PROFESSIONALS, CREATED FOR EXCELLENCE
What is Zill quality?
A top film is always a combination of these factors:
Regenerate-free virgin-materials for hygienically perfect silages, DLG-tested UV stability (Zill is the only supplier with an additional award), metallocenes for unique tensile strength and tear resistance aswell as smooth surfaces for brilliant reflectivity.
We at Zill always see the bigger picture, which is why our quality films are not only safe, but also unmistakably beautifully packaged. This is Zill quality: perfection down to the smallest detail.
Not from this galaxy!
Silo films are an important part of the silo cover. Tear resistance, UV stability and the use of the best regenerate-free raw materials are among the most important properties. You can find out more about silo films in the following FAQ‘s.
Silage films are robust films that are placed on silos to preserve feed. They protect the harvest from external influences and ensure a perfect fermentation process. Silo films are made of tear-resistant, UV-stabilised polyethylene.
Silage films are needed by farmers to cover silos and thus to produce silage. The silage is then fed to dairy cows, pigs or horses or can be used to generate electricity in biogas plants.
When a silo is filled, it must be covered with a silo cover to protect the valuable harvest. A silage film is used in the agricultural sector for feed preservation in order to achieve the best possible silage results.
You can buy Zill silage films from all specialist retailers. Our silo films are available there in large quantities and in various designs and sizes.
Silo films are used to cover a silo in agriculture. They are used for feed preservation as well as professional silo covers. To ensure an ideal fermentation process, the harvest must be covered airtight.
Silo films are available at different prices depending on the length, width, thickness and technical characteristics of the silo film. Your local retailer can give you the exact prices.
generally, silage films are UV-stable for at least 12 months. Our quality silage films achieve UV stability for 15 up to 18 months. With a specially introduced weathering test, DLG has awarded our "agrifol® DLG" and "ultimate powerfol® morgengün" silage films for particularly high weather resistance!
For best silage results, the silage film should be equipped with regenerate-free raw materials, metallocenes and sufficient UV stabilisers. We recommend our quality silage films „white and virgin“, "ultimate powerfol® morgengrün" and „powerfol® DOUBLE BARRIER 2in1".
All silo films must be waterproof, UV-stable and highly tear-resistant. Ideally, they are also made from regenerate-free raw materials so that contamination by used plastics can be excluded. The direct contact with the feed places the highest demands on silo films in terms of safety and hygiene.
To cover a silo correctly, several steps must be noted.
Step 1: First, cover the walls with side wall film. Our silo side wall clamps can help you here.
Step 2: Lay the underlayer film as the first layer over the silage, then fold the side wall film from the outside over the underlay or suction film.
Step 3: Now cover the silo with the silo film.
Step 4: In order to protect the silage film from damage, a silage protection grid should absolutely be placed on top.
Step 5: Now weigh down the silo protection grid with silo bags and place them in lines across the silo.
For bulk silos and bunker silos with a steep pile, the silo bags can be afixed with the quick'n fix silo bag fastening system.
